Hello

When I try to start the edbsrvr.exe Ii's raise the error:

ElevateDB error #101. There was an error updating the object
(The file is read-only)

The error occurs when I move my application to Win 10
Thanks for the support.

First guess - when you moved it (say using a DVD) one or more of the files were set to read only - select all the files and unset the read only attribute

Yes, probably the problem is the read-only attribute.

I don't know if you know that it's tough to change the folder/files attributes,
after the last Windows updates, as they keep reverting to read-only.

I succeeded in changing some attributes but I don't know,
in that case what files may cause the error.

Go into which ever folder holds your data (its almost always the data files), select all files (ctrl-a), right click on a selected file, select properties and untick the tread only box. If it isn't ticked that may be because some are and some aren't and I generally find that checking it and then unchecking it works. Click OK and you should be good to go. If there's more than one folder with data files repeat for each folder.

Solved

After many tries, the System Administrator agrees to do some second checks
and finds that some security settings cause the problem

Thanks, Sorin
