I convert an application from dbisam to edb
and the size of the application exe file increase with about 20%.

Is it normal change ?

Basically, it is what it is.   Nowadays we really aren't particularly that
concerned with code size compared to proper performance and operation.

I know that you're joking, but c'mon, we're talking about 200k or so.  Do
you think that the additional functionality in EDB over DBISAM is worth 200k
?

200k is not really a big increase in size.  The most important thing is the performance.  This year 2007 and the PCs come with hundreds of mega of
RAM.  Look at windows vista, minimum requirements of ram is 512 mega and we are talking about 200k!!!

If not for the megga eye candy and unacceptable programming standards of M$ you wouldn't need a 1Gb RAM and 4GHz CPU machine just to run the OS!
