I'm reading the manuals on line and came across this "You cannot use user-defined functions in filter expressions." on the Setting Filters on Tables, Views, and Query Result Sets page dated Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 08:16 AM.

I thought you were going to allow this - you said

"I spoke too soon on this - I double-checked and you can UDFs safely in
filters.  There was an original issue a couple of months ago that prevented
this, but it's since been fixed."

I can't test anything out (that's why I'm reading on line) and would appreciate clarification.

Yes, you can use UDFs in filter expressions now.
