DBISAM transactions start locking the entire Database (ie directory). After
that we have a big improvement with restricted transactions that lock some
tables only. But the best practical situation is that locking will be
applied only on records used by a transaction.

Is there any intention to change transactions mechanism using this idea ?

The initial version of ElevateDB will be like DBISAM in this respect, but we
will be offering a different transaction model later in a server-only
version of ElevateDB.
