I am trying to change a sessions password with the ElevateDB Manager using the sessions property page.  I put in the new password and confirm it, yet when
I expand the session in the tree view I always have to use EDBDefault.  How do you change the sessions password?

Do you want to change the password for the Administrator user ?  If so, then
you need to use the ALTER USER statement on the Configuration database:

Actually I want to create a new session and simply set that sessions passowrd.  Using the DB Admin tool never seems to set the password.  Do I still need to run a
query to create a password on the new session?

No, but does the user/password combination exist for the configuration file
that you're using ?  If it doesn't, then changing the session password in
the EDB Manager won't solve the issue.
