Yes and it works just great. I don't use their ugly DB Engine controls
though.

Thanks!  We are taking a look at them for the reporting engine in our app. When
you say DB Engine controls do you mean their visual query builder?

No I mean the various controls you need to work with different
databases. I use a report variable to hold the SQL statement and
assign that to a query of whichever TDataset descendant I am using. It
allows me to use FR with anything and not have to build a new FR DB
Engine control if it doesn't already exist.

FR4 works well with ElevateDB or DBISAM.

Steve Forbes created a DBISAM component for Fast Report and I believe is
working on a ElevateDB one.  He's been R&R'ing in Vietnam last I heard.

Like Michael has said.  Just base on a TDataset decendant and no worries.

FR4 really improved the GUI on the report preview.
