What happened to the decimals in the currency?  Not to mention the money type!
So much ANSI not good.

You can use DECIMAL instead. In my routine to create im-memory tables from a TEDBTable with persistent fields defined I tried converting ftCurrency to DECIMAL (20,2) but Delphi didn't like it.

Use a DECIMAL type if you want to specify the scale of the column:

The ftCurrency type in Delphi is just a throwback to the Paradox
currency/money type that was just a dressed-up Float field with currency
formatting.
