Thread ElevateDB .NET Data Provider for .NET 2.0

Hi Tim,

I installed the software, then went to VS2005, created a form and added a binding source to the form, I tried creating a new connection to your database, I opened the
data source configuration wizard and then tried to create a new connection string, at this point I should have seen the elevateDB driver, I can see MS SQL drivers, Nexus
and VistaDB drivers, but elevateSoft driver is not there, what should I do to get a binding source to elevatesoft for my data controls in VS2005.

See here under the notes about the DDEX support under Missing Features:

I blew close to 4 weeks on the VS2005 DDEX support and had to postpone it
because it's such a mess.  I'm going to have to resume it in 2008. Smiley

You can see an example here:

The factory class for EDB is here:

If you take contact with David Sceppa (ADO.NET Program Manager at
Microsoft), you'll get all the help you need to implement full DDEX support
and also prepare for the next generation ADO.NET support (Entity
Framework/VS2008 integration).

Be smart and drop Mr. Sceppa a line at david (dot) sceppa (at) microsoft
(dot) com.

Thanks.  I hope everyone isn't too hung-over today. Smiley

Actually, that is first on my list for the new year since he personally
called me a couple of months ago to introduce himself and offer his
services.  Apparently a little birdie told him that we were doing a .NET
data provider and might need some help. Wink

I finally received VS2008 via MSDN yesterday, so I can also start moving
forward with that also.
