<< Open EDBManager Open a session Open tables (do not open a table) Pick a table on the left hand pane Click on indexes Click a multi column index Click alter index Click columns Click OK >> Okay, I got it. In the future, if you could tell me whether you're clicking in the left-hand treeview or the right-hande properties window, it would save me some time. I had to play with it for a while before I realized that you were clicking in the properties window. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Until this post and going ferreting I had no idea there was a right-click menu there hence I thought my sequence of steps was not open to misinterpretation. Roy Lambert |

<< Until this post and going ferreting I had no idea there was a right-click menu there >> Where is "there" ? Do you mean the right-hand properties window or the left-hand tree-view ? There's right-click menus for both. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Either - I discovered the left-hand pane one after your post, and the right hand pane one an hour or two later when I thought "I just wonder". Its one of the problems with a gui interface. If there's something staring you in the face it takes a bit of effort to look for anything else, even when its easier to use. Roy Lambert |

You shouldn't have. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
