Make this to a part of the database. I would not save the configuration-file-path but the database-root -path. The configuration-file and the database-path's are in subdirectories from this root-path.The configuration-file subdirectory-name is a property. In the catalog-file is not saved the absolute path from the database, but the relative path from the database-root path. Then you have the structure: ==> configfilepath root path ==> project1 ==> Database ==> .... ==> project2 ==> Database If the path-dialogs save the relative paths, then is the handling very easy. With this structure you can work with the same configuration-file/configuration-path in desktop-, remote and shared-directory mode. If you go with the database to a other pc. Then insert the copy from the folder-structure. Set the link to the database root folder, in special situations change the configuration-file-path-name, and it is working. Ralf -- |
