I received a notice that support plan for EDB (version 1, of course)
expires tomorrow.  It looks like the renewal cost is $159.  I had
previously received notice that I could pre-order EDB version 2.  The
cost for that is $129.

1.  If I pay for version 2, am I entitled to version 1 updates until
version 2 is released?

2.  If yes to (1), am I entitled to version 1 updates after version 2 is
released (for instance, suppose I want to use the latest v1 because I'm
not up to speed on v2, or find there's some critical problem in v2)?

Just ignore it for now, and order V2 when it is available if you want to
upgrade to V2.  We won't be doing any more V1 minor releases, so you'll
still get the V1 bug fixes.  We did it on purpose this way in order to make
sure that there wasn't any gap in the support plans, but obviously expected
V2 to be available by now also.
