Are ElevateDB for Delphi6 and ElevateDB for C#.NET different products or
in the same bundle? I can only afford one migration since this is a
hobby purchase Smile

The VCL* EDB products will include VCL.NET support, which is almost done,
but the ADO.NET data provider will only be available in the separate MDAC*
EDB products later on.  There will be a cross-discount, as always, but I'm
not sure what it will be at this point.

I have VS2005 pro but have only dabbled slightly with it but see it as
the future for me. If I understand you correctly, I can use the EDB VCL
product to create and use EDB with VS2005. The MDAC product is not
necessary in this context.

Is MDAC analogous to ODBC in that it is a technology to let third party
products (say a report writer) that are MDAC compliant use EDB databases?

No, you will need the ADO.NET version.

Nope, just the opposite.

The MDAC product will include both the ODBC driver and the ADO.NET data
provider.

Chris,

I can't say for sure just yet.  I'll have to wait until I can do a complete
CF check.
