Thread ElevateDB Manager Problems with V2b2
Thu, Jun 26 2008 12:19 AMPermanent Link

Hi,

I am getting into using EDB, but found a couple of problems with  V2b2 EDB
Manager:
1. If you double click on an open table, you get an access violation
2. The problem comes when you are creating or altering a table, and an
ElevateDB raises an exception while applying the changes.  The field details
are sometimes not updated to reflect the selected field.  For Example:
Create a table with 2 integer fields (say) col1 and col2......then save this
table.  Next Alter it, and add a field (say) col 3, with a default value of
IF(COL1>10,15,'') (or anything else that generates an exception).  You
should now find that if you click on Col1, Col2 the field properties still
refer to Col3.

Hmm, I'm not seeing this one either.  The column data is updated properly
when I move from row to row.

Yes, but only if more than one table is open.

The problem appears to be intermittent, just when I thought that I had
isolated the set of steps, then the problem stopped happening.  I will keep
an eye on it an let you know when I have been able to get a reproduceable
set of steps.
