Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate	Tim It doesn't look as though most care about this issue so I suggest you forget it apart from advice as to the best way for me to handle it. I like Eryk's idea but can't see overriding TEDBQuery's BeforePost working for UPDATE or INSERT statements. Am I right? Roy Lambert
