"Paul Coshott" | Hi All,
Could someone please explain the relationship between configuration file, catalog and database. And how does each one effect each other? I couldn't find anywhere in the help file that described each one. Can someone tell me where in the help file I should read? Cheers, Paul |

"Paul Coshott" | Hi Chris,
thanks for the info. That answered my question. I have another one. If I create a new database using the ElevateDB Manager, how can I create the database in the config file I want. I thought that specifying the configuration file's "File Folder" and "Name" under the "Local Configuration" for the session (I created a new session for this), would be enough to specify which config file the database was created in. What should I do to specify the config file to create the database in ? The database definition consists of the database name and the path to the database itself. What is making you think that this isn't working ? "Paul Coshott" | Hi Tim,
thanks. It's all good. I was pointing the dbEngines ConfigPath at the wrong folder, and when I set the engine active, it created a new blank config file, which was why the database I thought should be in it, was not.
