Ulrich Becker | Tim,
The installation problem you described seems still to be present in the Delphi5 installation. (Runtime package not found, I copied it to teh sys-dir manually). Whereas the installation for Delphi2007 works fine. Regards Uli |

<< The installation problem you described seems still to be present in the Delphi5 installation. (Runtime package not found, I copied it to teh sys-dir manually). Right now we're installing the runtime package according to the current user's settings, although I will probably change that to use the local machine settings instead. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Uli,
Sorry, forgot to ask the important questions: What is the value of this registry value on your machine ? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Delphi\5.0\RootDir and what is this value ? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\5.0\RootDir Are they different ? And, do they accurately reflect where your Delphi 5 installation resides ? And, finally, is there an ElevateDB *run.bpl runtime package residing in your Delphi 5 <InstallDir>\bin subdirectory ? Thanks, -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Uli Becker | Tim,
> What is the value of this registry value on your machine ? > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Delphi\5.0\RootDir C:\Programme\Borland\Delphi5 > and what is this value ? > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\5.0\RootDir > Are they different ? And, do they accurately reflect where your Delphi 5 > installation resides ? There is no such key. Thus it's different. > And, finally, is there an ElevateDB *run.bpl runtime package residing in > your Delphi 5 <InstallDir>\bin subdirectory ? No, there isn't any ElevateDB *run.bpl runtime package. << There is no such key. Thus it's different. >> There's the issue - apparently they didn't start adding the RootDir value until D6 and above. Sorry about that - this will be fixed in the next build. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
