when editing a script, a double-click on a word now selects the word.
This doesn't work with strings embedded in quotes however. In this case
the whole string is selected.

Could you change that please?

Unfortunately, no.   The editor only tokenizes the text based upon an SQL
parse, and all constants are treated as one token.   The selection on
double-clicks is performed by tokens, not textual words.
