Dynamic parameters in derived table |

"Jan-Erik Johansen" | Hi Tim,
I have the following issue. Using a query like select fields from (select from table where field = ?) as derivedtablename gives #700 An error ..... (Invalid expression ? found, dynamic parameter references not allowed) The workaround I found was using the following query but this is much slower than using a derived table (10x acutually). select fields from table where field IN (select fields where field = ?) Is this a known limitation/issue? 2.02b1 DAC -- Jan-Erik |

<< Is this a known limitation/issue? >> Yes. Derived tables use temporary views, and currently views cannot contain parameters. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
