I've just converted a database to give me a decent sized table to play with and the results when applying filters to a result set are "not valid"

Select * from mandn (149029 rows)

filter _whoto = 'Addict' (5 rows)

select * from mandn order by _subject (149029 rows)

filter _whoto = 'Addict' (1 row)

Note the subtle difference

And at this point clear filter no longer works, and trying to rerun the query causes an AV

I also get some weird behaviour when I reopen EDBMan like duplicates on the Windows task bar, av's on runing a query. I have to close down again and then its OK.

I don't know just what happens but I had to shut down all four apps I had open and the processor was still thrashing at 100%. Power off required.

I would repair the table.  It sounds like you've got a corrupted table,
especially if the second query is generating a sensitive (live) result set.

Repair of the table MandN started at 2007-04-11 08:30:07.0718
Repair of the table MandN ended at 2007-04-11 09:31:14.01710

I assume this means no problems found in which case back to you

I'm just about to retest

Roy,

<< c2Gb do you want me to post a DVD? >>

Sure, either that or if you have someplace you can put it for download, I
can download it from there.

Thanks,
