Thread Really deleting from EDBTables

I have just run a SQL DELETE statement on a table to wipe it but I see the size of the .EDBTbl file is still 302Mb even though there is "nothing" in it?
Is there anyway to really remove this data, the reason being that I am trying to create a blank data set to fit on a CD without zipping it, and at the
moment the whole database is over 800Mb even though each of the tables is "empty"?

Regards

Just optimize the table.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply! I have now found the OPTIMIZE TABLE SQL command and have run it and that does the trick! Thanks again!

I'd actually regard that as unsafe <vbg> Think about it. Most modern PC's have a DVD reader but ....

True! Actually I don't own a BD-device neither. No need for that at the
moment.

But I enjoy the BD for watching films on my big Plasma screen. Smile

Rented I hope.  The films I mean. The cost of purchase in teh UK is horrendous, and from what I've seen the quality improvement isn't worth the extra cash.
