I think this is the of before/after post on a table, but before I screw up my database by using it can you confirm what it is / does. Its not in the manual so it may be another sneak in under the wire and I'll explain what it is if anyone notices type of enhancement

Yes, it is a sneak.  You can use the OPERATION() function to determine what
is going on:

Insert
Update
Delete
Error

all VARCHARs, returned from OPERATION exactly as listed.
