Jeff Dunlop | Is there no way to simply change a database attribute without figuring out first what its path is?
ALTER DATABASE "foo" ATTRIBUTES 'bar' causes ElevateDB Error #700 An error was found in the statement at line 7 and column 22 (Expected IN but instead found ATTRIBUTES) |

Uli Becker | Jeff,
> Is there no way to simply change a database attribute without figuring out first what its path is? The manual says: <<All clauses after the PATH clause are optional. If they are not specified, then they will not be altered and will stay the same as before the ALTER DATABASE statement was executed.>> Accordingly the PATH clause should *not* be optional. Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Jeff,
<< Is there no way to simply change a database attribute without figuring out first what its path is? >> Not currently. Per my post to Roy in the suggestions forum/newsgroup, I've got some of the clauses converted to optional, but not all of them. I'll be working through more of them in a later release. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
