Chris Holland SEC Solutions Ltd. Team Elevate | Is there an replacement command for the "TOP" in ElevateDB?
To restrict the amount of data that get transmitted across the network. I dont care if the server finds 10,000 records so long as I can restrict the amount send to the Client to 200.(or better still 200 at a time) Chris Holland |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Chris,
<< Is there an replacement command for the "TOP" in ElevateDB? >> No, there is not pagination support in ElevateDB yet. << To restrict the amount of data that get transmitted across the network. >> ElevateDB already does this with C/S comms. Are you talking about this via the ODBC Driver ? If so, then the ODBC driver automatically adjusts the amount of rows fetched from an ElevateDB Server based upon the rowset size designated by the client application accessing the driver. However, I'm not sure if the ODBC.NET data provider does anything in this regard when reading rows via its reader. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
