I don't use infopath but this is infopath specific - you're using a
forms applications (infopath) and trying to import 3rd party data (EDB).

Without a form template it does not know what to do.

Try importing into Excel for example that can handle generic data if you
want to see if import works in general.

Since you already know what your data looks like you should be able to
create a new form template in infopath that matches the xml data - then
import data as form data source.

Thanks for your help.  After all this I was able to open up in Access minus
the Notes.  Seems like these CLOB fields are very funky.
FYI I only gave you a sample of a very large file.  I guess I will need to
write some code getting this field into a CSV

Finally the useless bit of knowledge is useful for something Smile

We looked at it at work after it shipped with office 2003 for doing
fill-in (web) forms but combination of fill-in PDF forms and regular web
just ate their lunch so we never ended up using it at all.

EWB would actually be perfect for this target market : RAD capability to
build the questionnaire forms and ability to create some more custom
components (maybe even one that reads questionnaire definition from DB
and shows them etc) is all it needs to do.
