Is there a timetable on ADO.NET support for the new ElevateDB? (I'm currently a DBISAM 4 customer) Is this something that development has
begun on yet? Or is planned?

Also, I believe that there was planned to be an ADO.NET provider with an embedded server. Is this still the plan?

Thanks.

Alan,

The MDAC product (ODBC and ADO.NET) should be available by the mid-to-end of
April.

The server won't be embedded, but yes, the ADO.NET data provider will be
able to access databases directly without using the ElevateDB server, just
like the ODBC driver does today.

I've decided to not do any more new Delphi projects unless a customer
specifically requests something that is not .NET, and these days I don't
hear that very often. So I am looking forward to ElevateDB for ADO.NET to
use with Visual Studio and C#.

Right now I use ContextSoft's DBISAM.NET and it works great for my 4.x
servers.
