Dunno how possible it is but can we have the reason for Insensitive when Sensitive has been requested as part of the execution plan

eg with Ian Branch's post it was a mismatch in the ORDER BY to index definitions or it might be a JOIN etc

So, you're asking for EDB to analyze all of the indexes and see if one closely-matched ?  Okay, in that case, define "closely"... Smile

I'll take a look.  I might be able to do something for the case-insensitive flag/collation matching.

That's a lot more than I was asking for - I was thinking more along the lines of "Problem with ORDER BY caused production of insensitive result set" or "Use of JOIN requires switch to insensitive result set"

Something has to trigger the switch and its that I was hoping for. If you can provide the detail then that's a lot more useful.

Yep, no problem, that's an easy one.  I've got a new 2.29 coming out pretty soon - I'm finishing up the MacOS port right now, and then it will get released.
