EDBMgr Script Editor: Allow Variable value to be copied to clipboard |

Barry | When debugging a script in EDBMgr, it would be nice if we could copy the variable value to the clipboard.
Suggestion: When the script is stopped, the user should be able to right click on a variable in the code or on a variable in the Local Variables window and the popup menu would have an item "Copy to Clipboard". Selecting this menu item copies the variable value to the clipboard. We can then paste this clipboard value into a text editor or another EDBMgr SQL window (by running another copy of EDBMgr) to test the SQL on this value. Barry |

Adam Brett Orixa Systems | Or EDB Manager could have a "local variables" pane (like in Delphi) and all the local variables in the script could be displayed there. It would sit pretty easily in the middle of the EDB Manager "task pane" ...

When a script has stopped at a breakpoint, go to Script > Local Variables to display the pane. Or press Ctrl-Alt-L. The pane will appear below the script window and you can use the horizontal splitter to open it up more. Unfortunately none of these local variable values can be copied to the clipboard. If I could right click on a variable (either in the stopped code or local variables pane) and select "Copy Value to Clipboard", it would solve the problem. Barry |
