I have been experimenting with the 32bit version of EDBSRVR under Ubuntu 14 (32bit) and Mint 7 (32bit) and this works beautifully, I was delighted when I saw I could just drag and drop my existing data set from windows to linux without any change and my program connects exactly the same way- nice one!

What I am now interested in is the 64bit version of ElevateDB so I can run it under the 64bit version of Ubuntu. I have tried the 32bit support libraries but would like a native 64bit build. Is this likely? I would pay for this - as long as it was along the same price point of the windows version .
