Steve Gill | Thanks Tim, that was very useful. I have a better understanding now of how it all fits together.
The component creation capabilities of EWB2 look very powerful, and relatively easy. = Steve |

Uli Becker | Tim,

I'd like to create a control that derives from TBasicPanel and has an autosize property which conforms with the background's image's bounds. How can I get width and height of the background image? Thanks Uli |

<< I'd like to create a control that derives from TBasicPanel and has an autosize property which conforms with the background's image's bounds. This is a browser limitation, not an EWB one. BTW, I got rid of the focus, etc. for the web controls (TImage, TPlugin, TBrowser), so you can now change those properties. After reviewing it for a while, I decided that the focus was a lot less important than the styling, and the focus never worked right for TPlugin/TBrowser controls, anyways. I'm not sure whether to say this because I wasn't sure if it is applicable to just me or others, but for me, the pace of the video could have been faster. I pondered though how I'd feel if I didn't already know this stuff, and how sometimes I hate that people go so fast and I've not had a chance to actually examine the code and understand it. Would be interested to know how others feel on this. It wasn't too slow, and it would be better to be slower than fast. But it makes sense to discuss now (if anyone has a view) than after all the videos are done. Just a thought. |
