Richard,

<< EWB3 will not allow ewbsrvr.exe to be run as a service with Windows 7 or 10 Home Editions. Works fine with the Professional Editions. >>

Did you add/modify any server objects like modules ?  It could be that you're mixing up a 32-bit web server module with a 64-bit server, or vice versa.

<< I am a little uncomfortable with having three different versions of ewbsrvr.exe all having the same name. How about giving them different names so that we can easily see what application that we are dealing with? >>

You're typically only going to need to deploy one of the servers.  The command-line server is only for development purposes, so that only leaves deploying either the 32-bit or the 64-bit Windows service.

There was still a reference to the 32 bit server in the registry. Once that was deleted, I can install and uninstall the EWBSRVR3 server in the home editions as well as the professional editions of Windows.

I reckoned I deleted it previously but - there it was again. The first few times I tried to delete it, I had to boot in safe mode which got somewhat complicated.

(REG:\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EWBSRVR3\)
