Trinione | I am sharing an application I created to assist me in better managing EWB IDE and EWB Web Server DataSets.
Basically, datasets are saved to .ini files and loaded as needed. So, one is able to group datasets by application/project and load accordingly. The 'Global' tab allows for changes to be made to all selected datasets. As the dataset ini files are loaded at startup, you need to restart the IDE and Web Servers to reflect changes to the dataset. - Application setup file is attached to this message - Demo Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHGWp4WCZmM Enjoy. Trinione | Tom:
I forgot to clear the settings in the 'app.ini' file included in the Setup.exe. Please clear or set all three sections in it. LocationIDE= LocationSRVR= DataSetNameMatch= For example, you can set the LocationIDE to: LocationIDE=c:\Users\Tom\AppData\Local\Elevate Software\Elevate Web Builder 2\ewbide.ini |

Tom Urlep | Thanks, that works now.
But I can't specify websrvr.ini path because my web server is on the remote machine. I will have to reconfigure my environment. Trinione | << But I can't specify websrvr.ini path because my web server is on the remote machine.
I will have to reconfigure my environment. >> Correct, once you can setup your machine to see the remote machine as a networked and accessible drive, then it would work. HOWEVER... I have found it easier and faster to use TeamViewer or Remote Desktop to connect and copy the ewbsrvr.ini file directly. Stop and CLOSE and ReOpen the EWBSRVR application for the changes to take effect. ![]() Glad you got it working. Please provide me with feedback as you use. I use this app daily and it has saved me lots of time. ** Remember to use the Globals area to change values. I use it to quickly change the RemoteAddress on all selected Datasets then save to the ewbsrvr.ini file, which I then manually copy to the 'remote' computer. |
