Peter | Hello,
for quite some time i (as a non pre-order-customer) don't know about the current status of EWB. In my opinion there is not much life the other forums so i fear that the development stagnates. Or i am wrong? Thanks in advance & Greetings ... Peter --- Sorry for my weird english |

I don't think development has stagnated, I just think its a fairly monumental task for one individual. At the appropriate time (ie when he's sure most of the bugs are out) Tim will release it to general purchase. Roy Lambert |

<< In my opinion there is not much life the other forums so i fear that the development stagnates. >> The scope of the project increased drastically very late in the original development schedule with the inclusion of the dataset/grid functionality. This has been responsible for the delays, and is what I have been working on. Development has not stagnated at all, in fact I've been working pretty much non-stop on EWB since last spring. I should have a complete demo database application up this week, and then you can see for yourself where things are. As a developer, you should know that software projects work like this: Almost done... Not almost done, more to do.... Almost done... Not almost done, more to do... Steve Gill | Picture this. Sam is at the helm of the good ship USS Elevate Software, barking orders to the engine room "FULL STEAM AHEAD". Deep down in the bowels of the ship, Tim yells back "Aye aye Cap'n". He is working fervously, pushing the engines to their very limits while downing another V, Monster, Red Bull, or whatever super-caffeinated energy drink they consume in them thar Northern Lands.
Meanwhile, up on the decks the passengers known as Ye Olde EWB developers, are sitting back enjoying their Atlantic cruise, waiting for their arrival at the promised land of Final Release. "Oh I say Captain, we don't seem to be making much progress." "FULL STEAM AHEAD" the captain barks again at the engine room. Tim mutters under his breath "You'll be reaching landfall soon enough ya' scurvy mob". |
