Is there anything standing in the way of using EWB to develop for the
ExoDesk?

$1000? A little more expensive than a phone.

That looks pretty cool and if they can ship it for $1299 then that's awesome. I've used the Microsoft Surface and idea is good though not sure how much one would use it if it were at home as novelty usually wears out quick (just like with tablets i find i just end up doing web and email on them 99% of the time).

I think the main issue using this in EWB is while Tim can add support for 3rd party units in general you likely won't get any design time help. Their API seems to be another framework and using tags + canvas so it might be doable but might not be worthwhile since you'd be just writing lot of connecting code and it might just be easier to do it direct. Happy to be proven wrong.

Well, as Raul indicated, often these types of implementations of HTML5 are
very specific to a) the touch interface and b) their widget set.  So, while
you could probably use the EWB compiler for this type of thing, you'd have
to write a whole new IDE to support that sort of design-time environment.
