Good idea.  I've done phonegap before, so I just have to look back at my sources.
I've cancelled my phonegap Build subscription from Adobe, so I'll probably try the local version.

I expect to be done in a few weeks, essentially when the last 2.05 preview is ready.

Other than editing, all the chapters are done except 2.05's PHP database section and the PhoneGap/Cordova section.  I'm finishing PhoneGap this weekend.  I have two working PhoneGap sample programs.  I'll post Android APK's to my site tomorrow (http://erickengelke.com) to show it's very doable.  

Apple PhoneGap is not as easy due to Apple's signing restrictions, you cannot release a non-production IOS app - people have to subscribe, and only 100 subscribers are allowed, and I have to enter their machine IDs manually.

The book will be a paperback stocked on Amazon US, Europe and UK.
