Thread Issue with captions on Chrome

Another issue -

My button captions seem to disappear in Chrome. Seems OK in FireFox (and inside EWB - which probably means MSIE)

Update - Tried it on Chrome serving it from the web (instead of local-storage) - and the text appears now - but I get strange display on the buttons with some lines in them.

On the good news front - seems to be working just fine on Safari and Dolphin on my iPad and on Silk on Android.

Any time you have what appears to be a browser-specific issue, please relay
on the version of the browser that you're using.

I'm using "4.1.249.1059 unknown (44723)", primarily because my Chrome
installation went south and it can't seem to figure out how to update
itself, and I've been lazy about updating it manually. Smile But, it works
here with that version, so it may be a problem with a newer version of
Chrome.

Cool, thanks.  I updated the auto-sizing of the desktop, so it now resizes
properly on mobile devices when you rotate the device.

Hmm, I'm trying it here and it seems to work fine.  Can you send me your
project files ?  There may be something particular about the layout, etc.

Thanks,

emailed it. As I said, if I get it over HTTP it is better - so maybe this is some other anomaly.

FWIW - I tried it in a VM - when opening the file:// url - still the same problem - when opening over http:// - it looks OK - so this might just be some issue with file:// url handling in Chrome.

Chris,

<< Hi, it appears to be fine here on the latest build of Chrome. >>

Does this happen with locally-loaded apps (file://) ?

Hi Tim,

Sorry, My Mistake, I thought I was looking locally but I was actually
picking it up form my test server.
On local file access the text is missing on mine as well.

Ron,

This is a bug in Chrome:

http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=49001

Basically, the forms read the CSS in the style sheets for the themes in
order to set themselves up.  Because of this bug, though, the font
information cannot be read and you end up with a font size of 0, which makes
the text disappear.

Judging by the comments on that bug report, this breaks a lot of apps that
run from the file system.
