thomh | Hi,
I noticed when I was working on battery power in EWB for an extended period of time that the battery life was being used up a lot faster than I was used to seeing. Checking the "Battery usage by app" I see that EWB is on top of the list with 80%. Next on the list is Delphi with 9% then Chrome with 6%. What is it with EWB that is so battery draining? // Thom |

I've just done a check here, and when idle, EWB for me is something like 0.3% of CPU. It jumps during compile of course and then drops again when debugging or editing. First step is obviously to check the CPU on your system too. But it is likely that the monitor is just saying "the focussed application was EWB, and powering the screen, disks, etc while using it ate all your power". Understanding exactly what it is telling you will help I suspect. -- Matthew Jones |

But, I doubt if it would be responsible for 80% CPU usage. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
