I created a new project and typed in the code manually and it still compiled without any warnings or hints.

I have attached a recorded session and you can see it.

It looks like you only show 1 message log line - it auto-scrolls to last
entry.

can you make messages window taller (like 1/3 of screen)

Ahh...I see it now.

I hope Tim could amend the output behaviour by either having an option to "stop on warning" and/or to scroll the output to the top as the initial messages are more important than the later ones, especially if you have many messages. The latter is preferable.

Showing hints/warnings count on status bar at the bnottom would be good
as well from discoverability. Where it currently says  "... compiled
successfully" to also include warning and hint counts

This is a 50-50 issue.  The reason why I'm scrolling the list items is specifically because we got a request to do so, so this will have to wait until I can add an environment option for it.

No worries. I have increased the height of the messages window just enough to see the line that shows the number of hints, warnings and errors. This gives me a heads-up if there are any problems with the codes.

It's a habit I started the first time I used Delphi and that is my codes will contain 0 hints and 0 warnings.

This has been added, and I also added the ability to just double-click the status bar to activate the messages panel.
