Uli,

<< Sorry, I should have mentioned that.
No, the panels (either custom components or not) are populated from a dataset (localhost in this case). The procedure has been called from a button click event. >>

If you want to send over what you've got (or send me a URL), I can do a quick profile and tell you where the hot spots are in the forms.  However, I'll just be using the Chrome, etc. profilers, so you can also do what I'm doing to do. Wink

Thanks. Maybe a misunderstanding: I just tried to find out the fastest
way to display 120 panels like described.
800 ms for 120 items is not bad - no complaints. Smile

I used something like "GetTickCount" within the app to check the
performance. Just out of interest: how do you do that with Chrome? I
only know how to check the performance of requests in the network tab.

Generally it would be helpful to write a blog how to use the debugging
tools in Chrome. There are many questions in the forum concerning that.

I'll add it to the list.  Right now I'm just trying to get enough sleep. Smile EWB 3 is a monumental undertaking...

Uli,

And I forgot to include the link:

(apparently they moved some stuff around in the devtools tabs)
