Would it be possible for these two components to have a color property for the background as in Delphi? TLabel has it but I see that all other components are missing it. The color property is great as a visual clue when there is a problem with the data entered or just to indicate that the field is read-only.

The theming does not permit this at this time.  Remember, these controls
don't normally look anything like what you're seeing.  They only look that
way because the theme *makes* them look that way.
