Sorry for the delays - the last delay had to do with needing an async HTTP request component, when previously I had only done a synch HTTP request component for EWB 3 (server-side applications don't need an async HTTP request component, but the debugger most certainly needs one for the IDE).  In addition, I needed to add a new request manager for managing predefined requests that can be used to drive the debugging of server-side applications in the UI (simple GETs aren't good enough for testing file uploads, etc.).  As an added bonus, the new request manager will allow developers to perform complete/selective API testing against a given web server with a couple of clicks.

I'll be posting a new update by Monday (hopefully I can do quick video that shows some things).  I want to see what I get done over the weekend.  I'm finishing up the debugger UI in the IDE over the next day or so, and then I've got about 9 items left on my list, most of which are either IDE UI cosmetic issues or have to do with building up the RTL/component library for server-side applications.

I'm probably going to go ahead and release a beta version next week so that testers can start trying out/testing the client web application features, which are all done (and have been for a while now).  During that time, I'll be soliciting input on the missing necessary pieces for the server-side RTL/component library so that I make sure that everything is available that needs to be.

I completed the benchmarking of the server-side applications last week and the results were "okay": a simple server-side application that generates a basic JSON response was seeing up to ~3100 requests/sec.  This includes authentication and complete application initialization/finalization for every request.  By comparison, the equivalent native web server modules see up to ~8200 requests/sec.  So, at some point I'll be looking at trimming this down a bit closer to the native code (I know where the hot spots are), but for now it will be fine.

Thanks for letting us know.  I was struggling with verse 4.

Seriously though, your hard work is very much appreciated.  EWB3 sounds amazing and I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

I was just wondering if you've been able to make any progress since Nov 22?
