I have noticed some strange symptoms when I run the application in EWB 3 if all 3 references to the internal server are not consistent as though it may be deploying to the wrong server. The 3 locations I have located are :

Run Tab : From Server
Server Manager : Selected Server
Project Tab :  To Server

The one issue is where Project Tab is set to "remote server" and Run Tab is set to "internal server" changes made to the application code are not visible on either server

The only two that matter are the deployment server and the run server, and yes, you can end up with a situation where you deploy to one and run from the other if you use the "Deploy on Run" option (always enabled for the Internal web server).  I'm probably going to add a warning for this condition, though.

If I have an external deployment server set and an internal run server where "deploy on run" is ticked and greyed out. I do not see the revised code on either server

Did you build the application before trying to run ?  There isn't an "auto-build" option, so the IDE will simply deploy whatever is already in the output folder for the application project.

Hi Tim, I didn't build first but if the two server dropdowns match then the server receives the latest modified code

I double-checked on this - the IDE *will* do a build before a run if the project requires it (it's a new project or any of the project or units source is changed).
