Matthew Jones | FWIW, I have a simple EWB project about to go live. I bought a 3 year SSL
certificate for it this morning, and it is all looking good. When I'm happy with it, I'll post a link. Any news on updates with themes and iPhone improvements? I won't hold you to it. 8-) /Matthew Jones/ |

After that, I will be starting on what will most likely end up as EWB 2.0, which will include: 3rd party component support - will be able to create design-time/run-time components and install them in the IDE 3rd party database engine support - will be able to create new database engine modules and install them in the IDE New theme format and capabilities - will be able to use straight styling without requiring image parts, will be able to define new theme parts, will be able to have many different styles for the same part so that you can attach a specific style to a specific control/control part. Improved IDE support for transparency/background images, especially for containers/forms/panels Possible rewrite of how the framework handles browser events (need to experiment with this one, but if it works, it will allow for the removal of a *lot* of workaround code and will allow for all sorts of cool things that aren't now possible) I'm hoping that I can get most of this done in a couple of months, so hopefully it can be ready by early summer. Matthew Jones | Sounds good. I think support for mobile devices (in the form of the viewport) is
probably the key requirement. It works now, just not so sweetly as it might. The rest sounds really nice, and I look forward to it! /Matthew Jones/ |

Matthew Jones | https://poll123.com/ is the site. It is still a development server, so may have
outages. Enter "demo" as the join code, and it will show the current question on our demo system. You can select an answer and send it in. No prizes! In fact, nothing is caring about this particular poll. But it is an EWB application running in the browser, which is talking to a RemObjects SDK server which is using https and JSON for data transfer. The backend talks to a DBISAM database to allocate an anonymous account, and there are threads that talk to our Azure service which is handling the questions and the answers (an ASP.NET application). My next task is to allow people to ask questions via the web too. Right now that facility is Windows desktop only, though I do have a proof of concept XE2 iPad/iPhone app, but I think the web is the best way forward for the moment. /Matthew Jones/ |

Matthew Jones | Thank you to the 15+ people who gave it a go. If you had troubles, please let me
know! I may use you all to crowd-test the app at some point. 8-) /Matthew Jones/ |

![]() Sorry, that is for your teacher to tell you! The votes go to the central system, thus to the teacher. You can see the result on the big projected display. 8-) /Matthew Jones/ |

I've changed the way this works on my test system, not on the "live" one. Basically, refresh the page and it should sort itself out. This is a coding thing, talking to the back end and getting its "ID". /Matthew Jones/ |
