 is there a way to deploy with the project, images required by the project that are loaded at runtime?

Sure, just copy them into the \output directory of the project, and they
will get picked up by the deployment.  I'll see about adding an option to
add these as part of the project, like the JavaScript.  That way you will be
able to see them in the Project Manager and know that they are getting
picked up from the source each time during deployment.
