What am I doing wrong |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I had a bit of time to spare so I downloaded the latest version. Drop an edit and a button on and click run. Both the edit and button blend in to the form. No borders, exact same colour as the form. I've tried changing the theme and changing the colour of the form with exactly the same result.
I'm sure its going to be me so can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please. Roy Lambert |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I posted a before and after jpg to the binaries.
It doesn't matter what I do which theme (of the three I have) I try I always end up with the form looking as though there's just a bit of text on a background. Memo controls seem to work but not edits or buttons. Roy Lambert |

I'd already mangled that project by dropping other components on, and deleting one of them (an image) to the point where nothing displayed. Creating a new one I think the problem is to do with paths. I just tried the following : Deleted all of the projects from disk. Opened EWB, ignoring the bit about can't find project Created a new project Go to save and [Window Title] Location is not available [Content] E:\EWBTemp\Test2 refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location. [OK] That particular folder had been deleted. I've attached the new project - 52k so its here. My guess is some of the necessary support files aren't there, and this is a consequence of not using the standard directory structure. Roy Lambert Attachments: EWBTemp.zip |

Chris Holland SEC Solutions Ltd. Team Elevate | Hi Roy,
I download and tried your project and once I changed the search path for the framework from your C:\3rdParty\.... to the default C:\ProgramFiles..... (which is where I loaded mine) it ran fine. Not sure if knowing this helps or not Chris Holland [Team Elevate] On 04/01/2012 08:36, Roy Lambert wrote: > Chris / Tim > > > I'd already mangled that project by dropping other components on, and deleting one of them (an image) to the point where nothing displayed. Since I tend not to use standard paths I'll wait for Tim to sort it out I feel as much at sea as when I started with ElevateDB Roy Lambert |
