I'm afraid their size is still controled by the theme ...

I gave up with EWB because I was trying to traduce Delphi software in Javascript with EWB and I needed sizeable Tedit, thinking sizeable TEdit will appear soon ...

It seems I was wrong.

Tell me it's not true ! For Goodness sake PLEASE tell me that this so simple and needed thing, is now available in EWB ...

I need to traduce a Delphi 7 software in EW for tomorrow and I'm stuck because of this !

Falcon.

There are browser/memory issues with having each edit control comprised of 8
DOM elements for the border, especially with applications that have a lot of
TEdit controls on them (IOW, most database applications).  We do exactly
what you want with TMemo controls, so it's not an issue of "being able to".
It's an issue of balancing UI flexibility with the existing theming design
and performance/memory consumption.  Once the theming is overhauled in EWB
2.x, you will be able to be more flexible with the UI without these issues.
