Ron Levy | Downloaded my new toy. Created a basic form with an image and a button, but compile fails.
Cannot open file "c:\program files (x86)\Elevate Web Builder STD\framework\WebForms.wbs". Access is denied. Any ideas? |

Do you know that your user account's rights are for that directory, or what type of user (Admin, User, Power User) you are running as ? I'm running here as a normal user, and I can compile against the source code in the \Program Files sub-tree just fine, so I must be missing something. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Ron Levy | Tim - I am running as an admin user - it is on my main machine (Win 7 / 64) - tried it again in a VM (Win 7 / 32) - again, an Admin - with the same error.
These machines are not in a domain, they are on a workgroup - so basically rather uncomplicated stuff. I did not try to just move the framework directory - but I can try that if you want me to. I generally have no issues with either machine as far as permissions are concerned. Works well with Delphi, Visual Studio, WebStorm - just about anything works fine. If you want me to test something specific - please tell me, I will be happy to do it. Will also be downloading the newer build and trying it when it is out - maybe that will fix it for me. |

Ron Levy | Only thing that might be unusual on these machines that I can think of - they are not running with US English as the standard language all the time - as our software is multi-lingual - and since some of it is still uses DBISAM (No-Unicode) - the regional setting might be unusual - but I suspect that this should not be an issue to EWB - which I suspect, is a proper Unicode application.
