Thread Bug? - Strange behavior in TRadioButton

aberas

I have a form with 3 groups of radiobuttons (GroupIndexes 0, 1 and 2).
If I try to set one default checked radiobutton in the GroupIndex 0, it won't stick. If I close and reopen the project, or if I compile it and test it, gone is the checked setting. I've even checked on the .wbf and everything it's ok there (it shows as checked), but in the IDE or the compiled program, not ckecked at all.

If I rename the GroupIndexes as 1, 2 and 3, everything works as it should.

I didn't report it as an Incident Report because it's seems to be and IDE problem and didn't want to submit an incorrect reporte.

Sorry if it is the wrong place.

Please send me an example project that illustrates the problem and I'll take
a look (timyoung@elevatesoft.com).

Tim:

I've tried to send you the mail, but it bounced back with this error:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    timyoung@elevatesoft.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain elevatesoft.com by mail.elevatesoft.com. [64.65.248.118].

The error that the other server returned was:
554 Transaction failed - from address does not correlate to sending mail host

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please advice.

The problem is as it says. Part of Tim's anti-spam checking is wether your email address and host domain match. In your case the answer is obviously no.

The solution is for Tim to add your email address to the whitelist. I've sent him an email to let him know it needs doing.

It seems it was my fault.
I wasn't using the account registered in the forums.
I've resent the mail from that account and it seems it went through.

Aberas,

<< I've tried to send you the mail, but it bounced back with this error: >>

Our mail server uses the sender's email address (as identified by the
sending mail server) to check that the sending mail server is actually the
valid mail server for the domain of the sending email address.  99% of spam
either uses an invalid/blank host name or an IP address, as opposed to a
legitimate mail server with an actual host name and proper MX records for
the mail hosts.

However, if you're using a 3rd party mail server to send your mail for your
company domain, then this check can also trip it up since the sending mail
server host name won't correspond to the domain name of the sending email
address.  For example, if you're sending mail through Google mail as
myname@mycompany.com, then our mail server will block such a transaction
unless you're on our whitelist.  All customers/registered users and anyone
that we send email to is automatically added to the whitelist.

Aberas,

Okay, the issue is with the saving of the properties for group indexes of 0.
The properties aren't saved because they're the "default", and so that
messes up the loading.  For now, the workaround is to use group indexes of
1, 2, and 3 for your 3 groups, and that will fix the problem.
