Matthew Jones | I'll mention the RemObjects SDK server, which is based on Indy, so does SSL "out of
the box". People have mentioned certificates, but the Indy thing is just two files and a password to be supplied and that's all. As I've said elsewhere, the RO SDK doesn't do the database bit "natively" with EWB, but uses a different interface mechanism. Lots of options though. /Matthew Jones/ |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. ![]() | Chris,
Thanks for the feedback. After EWB 2.0 is out, I'll be revisiting the back-end support and doing some more in-depth examples with more step-by-step information. Originally, EWB didn't have any back-end support, and the web server, etc. was added rather late in the process, so it really didn't get the attention that it needed. Further iterations of EWB 2.0 are going to have the web server spitting out more dynamic information, so as to allow for things such as querying which datasets are available, etc. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
