Go to the web site a few days later to order something else and that item is sitting waiting to be completed. This is, I think, actually a good thing. You probably meant to complete it, and you now can. If you don't want to, just delete the item. Likewise, if someone comes to buy some software, they put it in their cart. Then our awkward verification gets in the way (<smile>) and they don't want to be hassled putting it in their cart again later. -- Matthew Jones |

There are two key differences between the way your software seems to be operating and Amazon: If I understand what you have so far written correctly then 1. you store the incompleted order on MY pc Anazon stores it on THEIRS 2. you store it on my machine even if its a casual look see Amazon only stores it when I've logged in (haven't checked this since I have never built up a shopping list on any site I've bought from - boring aren't I) Item 1 is the reason that, if logged in, you can start an order on your iPhone and finish on your iPad. Done your way that would not be possible. You would have to complete on whatever device you started it on. Totally irrelevant I don't have a smartphone but I do have a 10.1" tablet and find I have grave difficulty selecting department or item using that. Any time I want to actually buy something I'll go to a PC. Roy Lambert |
