Roy Lambert NLH Associates ![]() | It looks nice, better responsiveness than I would have expected so well done the pair of you.
Strangely enough I'm doing one of those as well for my own use just using normal Delphi though. And of course a MUCH better taste in DVDs ![]() Roy Lambert |

Uli Becker | Walter,
> Great EWB App. excellent example. > > How many hours of work would you estimate this took? Thank you very much. As Tim mentioned, I had written this app already with EWB1, so I can't say how many hours it took. EWB was a nearly complety rebuild because of the many new features. Actually I had to spend quite a big amount of time to learn everything, especially working with layouts and parsing the JSON returned by TMDb using the new TParser and persistent classes. Once you know how it works, it's easy though (like always). So the next application will be rapidly written. ![]() Uli |

I'd be willing to place a small wager that Tim's parser is far easier to use than SuperObject and that seems to be one of the better ones out there. Out of interest what are you using for movie look up? I'm using OMDB which seems nice and simple and about to start exploring TVDB for collections such as Farscape & Lewis. Roy Lambert |

Please have a look at the Blog again, meanwhile a short description has been added with additional informations. I'm just working on adding the TV series stuff using TMDb as well, but maybe TVDB has better data for TV series. Have to check out that. Uli |

Have to check out that. I just clicked on the link I didn't know I was meant to keep reading ![]() TMDb looks an interesting site. I'm not sure if its my age but most of the sites I've looked at seem to have difficulty documenting their API. One reason I chose OMDB is I could understand it. I'll register and have a play Roy |

I liked the look of TMDb but the amount of information they want to provide an API key is simply unacceptable. In addition I fail to see the sense in asking for a URL for the project when Desktop Application is selected. Roy Lambert |

Uli Becker | Mark,
<<Did you write any custom controls or was it just a matter of doing your own styling?>> I created only one control, a transparent button. The rest was done by modifying the used interfaces. Uli |
